298 innocent souls perish

A passenger plane, flight MH17 was reportedly shot down over territory held by Pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine. The Malaysian Airlines was carrying 280 passengers and 15 Crew, the plane left Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpar. The Malaysian passenger plane crashed on Russia and Ukraine border: The Dutch authorities have said at least nine Britons, 154 Dutch, 27 Australians, 23 Americans (biased on Reuters), four Germans, four Belgians, three Philippines, one canadian, 12 indonesians, 45 Malaysians (including 15 crew members)  the identities of 41 people on board have not been confirmed. Mr Putin said " This tragedy would not have happened if there was peace, if the military actions had not been renewed in south-east Ukraine. And, certainly, the state over whose territory this occurred bears responsibility for this awful tragedy".

The Ukrainian interior ministry says plane was shot down by a Russian-made BUK surface-to-air missile. Our hearts and prayers goes to the families of those that lost their lives, may they rest in peace Amen.

At the conference a partnership between Tuface and Millions Voices for peace campaign and the Red Cross Society of Nigeria was announced. British Teens Experienced life in the slums of Lagos Nigeria.

I was shocked yesterday when i watched the BBC 3 Documentary of slum survivors Lagos Nigeria. The documentary was about three British Mechanics who found it difficult to get a job in the United Kingdom, they were taken to the slums of Nigeria to work as mechanics for a period of ten days.

The Teens Include 17 year old Muj, 18 year old Kayleigh and 19 year old Sean.

When i was watching the show i was shocked seeing the teens undergoing punishment like  "pick pin" a Nigerian punishment .

The also got water from the tap the Nigerian way and washed the clothes of their boss the Nigerian way.

I was happy when Muj said " meeting Adewomi (an apprentice at the garage) has taught him not to be selfish, not to be relying on his sisters and not to be lazy and expecting things from a family member" touched his life that is a positive one for Nigeria.

I saw this wedding video and i became speechless the wedding followed a Kate Middleton and Prince William wedding theme. Even though the wedding took place last year i call this "the wedding of the century". Come to think of this,  Nigerians are very rich, this leaves me with this question: is Dangote really the richest man in Africa? because we have lots of Nigerians who are rich and we do not know about. well enjoy because this is the best luxury wedding.

A heroe's Exit

Reports just getting in also confirms that  Enyeama and Odemnwingie are said to give way for up coming players. Vincent Enyeama for many, was the star in the world cup as he saved a lot of goals, this is really heart breaking to hear.  Enyeama stated that "the up coming players in the team are good. They need all the chance. i just have to go," he said. He apologised to Nigerians for the failure of the team to have won. He is indeed a patriotic individual always stayed focused, the Nigerian team and Nation will miss you.

Nigeria out of the world cup

Nigeria sadly is out of the world cup as France defeated Nigeria 2-0 as Joseph Yobo scored an own goal.  Well personally I watched the match for our team to hold France that long well done boys you did a great job. following this, Yobo yesterday announced his retirement. According to Fox News Yobo stated that he would be retiring from international duty to concentrate on his club career and spend more time with is family.

Nigerians coach Stephen Keshi also quits his job following the defeat of the super equals, the 52 year old assumed duty in 2011. He did a great job in South Africa... for more details click here
